Curry Powder is a generic term for a mix of spices used to flavor various curries and gravies of Asian cuisine. There is no standard recipe. The main components of the Curry powder mix are cumin, coriander, and turmeric powders. It may or may not include mustard, black pepper, cardamom, fenugreek, Bay leaf, clove, and ginger.
Curry powder can be mild or hot, also known as Madras curry powder.
